Fathom's coding accuracy is next level, seriously.

anyone else using Fathom for their medical coding? i was really curious about their accuracy rate compared to what we were doing, and it's pretty impressive. we're using their Revenue Cycle Management Software and specifically looking at the ICD-10 Coding Automation. after a few months, our error rate dropped by around 27%, which translates to way less time chasing down denials. didn't get any coupon codes, but the sales team negotiated a solid deal. it's definitely a step up from some other systems we looked at, like 3M Health Information Systems. makes a big difference to our bottom line honestly.

Good for CDI, but a few bumps

I got a decent enterprise discount on Fathom this time around for our Clinical Documentation Improvement needs, which was a nice surprise compared to our initial quote. We've used them before for Pathology Coding and that was consistently smooth. Fathom's AI for complex clinical documentation is generally strong and definitely helps with efficiency, but sometimes it struggles with really nuanced cases, requiring more manual oversight than we'd ideally like. It's still better than what we saw with some other providers like Iodine Software or 3M, but I'm hoping to see their parsing improve further on the trickier documentation types. Overall, a solid service that saves us time, but not perfectly polished yet.

We tried Fathom's AI Medical Coding Automation for our Emergency Department Coding. The accuracy rate has been good, and it definitely speeds things up compared to manual coding. Integration with our EHR was fairly straightforward, though it took a bit longer than the initial estimate, closer to a month. Customer support was responsive when we had questions during the setup phase. My only minor gripe is the real-time analytics could be a bit more intuitive, but overall, it's a solid platform that delivers on its promises.
